Interview with Dale Adams

Rachel(Me): Hi Dale, The first question is  what inspired you to become an actor?

Dale : My first show. I was cast when I was 9 in a Christmas production of the wizard of oz. I hasn't been on stage before then, but it came so naturally to me. That's when I knew I belonged on the stage. It's funny, I've just recently finished playing opposite one of the principle characters in that production as a professional myself.

Rachel: Oh that sounds brilliant so would you say you have a natural talent for acting

Dale: Saying I was naturally talented would make me sound egotistical. I would say everyone is born in life with something that they have a talent for, some people find it and some people don't. I had to train very hard to get where I am today

Rachel: Yeah you do have to do some training to perfect your talent and to prepare you for the job of being an actor such auditions. What would be your top tip going into an audition ?

Dale: When you step into that room, act like you already have the job and are showing them what you've been working on for the show (hypothetically of course). It strips back all the stigmas attached to auditioning and puts you as an actor in the right frame of mind. I have a lot of friends who are on the other side of the audition room and they say that they hire people who are ready to work and give something unique and special to a part. ALSO NEVER FORGET you are auditioning the panel just as much as they are auditioning you. You need to know if you can work with them as well.

Rachel: That's great advice

The next question is If you could do you dream role what would it be and why?

Dale: The Phantom! In the Phantom of the Opera. It's been a dream role since I was a teenager. I love the show and everything about it. I'd love to be the Phantom as he's such an iconic part and I'd love to bring a new and fresh spin to him. Without going into too much detail, we as an audience forget that he is a psychopath because we feel sorry for him. I'd like to find a light and shade in his pain and bring a further chilling element to the "Opera Ghost"

Rachel: Oh that sounds like such a great spin on the phantom

That leads quite nicely onto the next question which is what is your favorites musical ?

Dale: My favourite? Ahhh that's such a hard question. The Wizard of Oz will always have a place in my heart, because it was my first show. I went to go and see it three times when it was in the West End a couple of years ago. Since I finished playing Anthony in Sweeney Todd I've really been getting knee deep in Sondheim musicals. I really love the score to "Sunday in the Park with George".

Rachel: Aww I have to say I do remember singing in the choir we were in together singing Sunday from Sunday in the park with George

Dale: Such a beautiful finale, brings a tear to my eye!

Rachel: Aww did someone first inspire you to become actor if so who and why did they inspire you to be an actor ?

Dale :I did a summer stage experience of We Will Rock You when I was 15. I played the lead and the director could see my interest in persuing acting as a career. He told me about Arts Educational Schools, London where he trained and where, three years on, I trained. I owe a lot to him as he taught me how to believe in myself

Rachel: Aww that's such a lovely story. This question I would be so interested to hear your response to and the question is if you could perform on stage with one person it can be anyone who would it be and why?

Dale :Neil Patrick Harris!! He's my idol. He's achieved so much in his career and I would die a happy man if I had a chance to share the stage with such a talented performer.

Rachel: Aww yeah he's such a great actor I loved him in the show how I met your mother.That's a great choice

Who have you had the pleasure of working with on stage that you never thought you would work with?

Dale: When I sang alongside Michael Ball on Friday Night is Music Night (BBC Radio 2) I couldn't quite comprehend what was going on. Michael was always a celebrity in my eyes and having the chance to work with him felt like I was dreaming. Although in recent years I've grown rather immune to working with "names". We're all actors trying to earn a living. One big happy family.

Rachel:Aww very true and Michael ball sounds so lovely.

Next question is Do you have any performances coming up and if you do what are they for?

Dale : A couple of things lined up. I'm flying out to Dubai next week to start rehearsals for Peter Pan, which runs from December 20th-27th. Then in March 2017 I'll be making my London debut as Steve in the new musical "Adam & Eve... and Steve?" at the Kings Head Theatre from the 21st.

Rachel : Oh sound so exciting I will definitely have to try to come to the one in London as I saw the reviews and they sounded so good

And Dubai how exciting. Do you enjoy travelling as part of being an actor?

Dale: I do. It's nice to be paid to see the world, but it's no different to any other acting job. You just tend to come back with a tan.

Rachel: Aww that's a benefit then. Where has you travelled to for a role ?

Dale: Bahrains been the only other exotic one. I was a Frankie Valle tribute for 6 months in Mallorca, but I don't class the Spanish isles as exotic. Warmer than the UK however.

Rachel: Oh that's good then that sounds so great and it's lovely to travel

I was wondering how you manage your vlogging and your acting? Do you have to compromise?

Dale: Well I only vlog once a week, which isn't too much trouble to set time aside for. There was once a time when I was a couple of weeks ahead of myself, just incase I got busy. I have been very busy recently and haven't managed to get back on top of them yet.

Rachel: I know the feeling very well as I am doing vlogmas and I am blogger as well so yeah.But that's good that you can do both

Talking about vlogging from your perspective what would one piece of advice be for anyone that wants to start vlogging ?

Dale: Don't be afraid of the camera, just be yourself and share as much as you can. Most importantly... have fun. It's not about subscribers and likes, it's about enjoying yourself. That's what people want to see in a Youtuber.

Rachel: Yeah that's definitely a great piece of advice for wanting to be a vlogger.

Trying Argan Oil Products

Before using the Argan Oil Products 

Hi , I  thought i would try for the blog the argan oil products so i thought i would try using the argan oil Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Mask and Hair Treatment.

I firstly used the Argan oil Shampoo when i first got in the shower after using my usual L'Oreal Elvive Pre Shampoo mask and the scent of the Argan Oil shampoo is a lovely scent of the shampoo and the shampoo felt amazing in my hair after i washed the shampoo out  of my hair.

Then i had to get out of the shower and i towel dried my hair to use the argan oil hair mask that hydrates your hair and you have to leave the hair mask on your hair for up to 10 minutes after putting it on your hair especially onto your roots so i set a timer on my phone for 10 minutes and then i got back into the shower to wash the hair mask out of my hair and then i added the Argan oil conditioner and oh my goodness it was such an amazing feeling it left on my hair. It felt so healthy and smooth. Then i towel dried the hair to put in the Hair Treatment that i always use the hair treatment as part of my everyday hair routine.

My review of these argan oil products is that they are affordable. I think they were about £1 a product and i would definitely recommend these products to all my family and friends as these products leave your hair feeling amazing and healthy and smooth and also hydrated.

My October Favourites 2016

Hi as we are coming to the end of October i thought i would share with you my favourites for October. So here goes:

The first on my list has been my favourites  for a couple of months but it is featured again for October and it is the candyfloss flavoured grapes and if you have never tried then i suggest you do as they are lovely and tastes amazing.

My second favourite thing is homemade soup in a cute mug as it is getting colder outside and it is so cosy to sit down with a homemade vegetable soup in a cute mug.

My favourite song for October has been Adele songs but i  have especially love All I Ask this month. If you are a fan of Adele i would definitely recommend this song as well as Adele's other songs as i love them all.

1. V05 Cherish  My Colour Mousse as it makes your dyed coloured hair the colour last longer and it refreshes the colour.

What i love about Autumn ?

I love Autumn. Autumn is one of my favourite seasons. My other favourite season is Summer due to nice warm weather. I wanted to do a blog post about my favourite things about Autumn,

First thing i love about Autumn is the colours of the leaves changing for example them changing to orange or yellow i love that. Another thing i absolutely love about Autumn is being able to be cosy with a candle lit and being under the blanket with lovely warm clothes on. Also another favourite of Autumn is my Blingy red slippers i got from America last year when i went with the family as my aunt had a pair and myself & My Mum both got a pair of blingy slippers. I got a pair of red blingy slippers and my mum got a pair a pink ones. I love my red blingy slippers as they look like the shoes Dorothy wore in The wizard of Oz and also love having a Hot chocolate in the evening in a cute mug with occasionally  mini marshmallows.

Another of my favourite things to do in the Autumn is to take photos of the different colour leaves on the trees and also the leaves which have fallen to the ground and i love the sound of them rustling underneath as you walk on them and also the once was path is suddenly a trail of different colour leaves i love it. I also love seeing blackberries as they are one of my favourite fruits to eat and love going with friends to pick them off of the bush. I also love seeing conkers and their shells and also acorns and squirrels with acorns.

I also love Autumn and had my first ever experience when with my family on a day out seeing pumpkins growing ready for Halloween and also pumpkin soup. Not that i have ever tried pumpkin soup but i am sure i will one day try pumpkin soup.

Day Out at Standen House and Gardens with the Family

Hi, My day at Standen House and Gardens which is owned by the National Trust it was absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed it. There was so many interesting things to see and it was so enjoyable and was such a great day spent with my parents, my brother and my grandparents. Also with my cousin that I have not seen since I was about four years old and was so great to get to know her and to have a catch up as we have a lot in common. Everyone from my family really enjoyed visiting Standen House and Gardens. I loved the William Morris exhibition they have on at the moment as I am a massive fan of his art work.

Standen House and Garden is such an amazing place and is so beautiful. There was so many photo opportunities as you can see below and also I took some great photos to look back on to remember the day. These are a few of the photos I took as I tried my new camera out which I absolutely love. I absolutely love photographing flowers and there were some beautiful flowers there as you can see. Also a bit of a funny story, My cousin , brother and I went to see the gardens as I can not remember ever seeing them and also I wanted to take some photos of them so I did and also oh my gosh I saw real pumpkins growing they were massive never seen any pumpkins that are that massive. But i just went off topic lol and so the three of us went into gardens and then we were talking so we carried on walking through a wood and at one point we thought we were lost and my mum phoned to see where we were and we were like in the woods. haha and then luckily a couple of walkers came past and luckily they could give us directions as they were local and knew the woods so we took their directions. But honestly i would definitely recommend visiting Standen House if you get the opportunity to go.

My Hair Routine

Hi, I thought I would share how I do my hair. ​Firstly recently I discovered Loreal Paris Elvive new Extraordinary clay masque which is a pre-shampoo treatment which you put in dry hair and you massage it into your roots. it makes it look as though you have blue roots as it is blue. My opinion of this product is that it works really well on my hair and makes it feel a lot better and it is a case of washing it out when you get in the shower. ​Then I wash that out of hair in the shower and then I shampoo my hair using Tresemme Colour Protect as my hair is coloured so it helps with stopping it fading so quickly. Then when I get out of the shower I towel dry my hair a  bit and put three products.  The first product I use is John Freida Frizzease serum  for my curly hair. The second product is  argan oil hair serum which makes it look a lot healthier and also then I use colour mousse which you put in your hair and it also stops fading so quickly and yeah is easy to apply I cant remember the brand though. ​Then to finish drying my hair I use a hair dryer and then if I am styling it I always straighten it. ​Thank you so much for reading hope you enjoyed it if you did please leave a comment below letting me know Also be sure to check out my previous blogs and also check out my youtube channel with my vlogs on it. My August Favourites 2016

Hi Everyone, I thought i would share with you my August favourite products . As i had so much fun writing my June favourites and also received some great comments and feedback about it and also you seemed to enjoy reading it. There are  a few products that were in my June favourites and there are a few new products. I could not managed to put all of the products to fit in the picture so they are not all in the picture. So my first Favourite product is a product that i use at least twice a day as it is such a great product and it is the Neutrogena deep moisture body lotion which i use on my face before i start applying my makeup but i also use the Zoella Double Creme body cream on my skin as it has such a great scent and feels great on my skin. The second of my favourite product is one that was featured in my June favourite. It is Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation in Shade "100 Ivory" it has medium coverage which is great and it is one that lasts 25 hours which is absolutely great . Also another favourite of mine which i use with my foundation is the Liz Earle Light Reflecting Concealer in Shade "001 Fair ". Also another great product that i have only just started to use is the MUA LUXE Strobe and Glow Highlight Kit  which adds shimmer to my look and is a great highlighter and also i use Rimmel London Wake Me Up instant radiance on my cheeks in the Shade " 002 Radiant Rose" this is a great blusher and is featured in my June Favourites blog too. My next favourite product is Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara which is waterproof which is great all year round especially in the Winter and Autumn but i use this product with my everyday makeup. My next product is one i do not use always i use only for special occasions . It is the Tanya Burr Matte Lip in the shade "Martha Moo" the colour is so lovely. Also for my lips before applying anything else to my lips i use the Barry M Berry Good Lip oil as it has a very natural colour and also it is good for my lips and as a base to any lip product.  For my eyebrows i use the Avon Perfect Eyebrow Kit in the colour " Soft Brown" this is a new favourite of mine i absolutely love this product. Also a new favourite product of mine is the Moodstruck Addition from Younique palette number one . I absolutely love the colours in this palette and it has such great shades and i especially love the "Brassy " shade but this palette is perfect for all year round especially autumn as it has autumny shades. To finish my face makeup is another product that i have only recently discovered which is the Avon MagiX Prime and Set Spray i always keep this in my bag as it is so great for setting makeup and love it so much and it is such a great primer. My next favourite product is my Nina Ricci perfume i absolutely love the scent of it. It is such a sweet scent and i love it a lot. When i remove my makeup i use first Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water which is absolutely amazing and then when i have removed my makeup with the cleansing water i use Garnier Softening toner which is amazing and leaves your face feeling amazing. My Weekend at Airbourne 2016

I am lucky enough to have one set of grandparents who live on the seafront which is perfect place to view airbourne from which i am so lucky to be able to go and stay and to be able to watch it inside to avoid crowds and still to have the amazing experience to see the airshow. Also a benefit of being able to watch it from my grandparents house is that i can spend quality time with them. I managed to stay a few days to enjoy the amazing air displays and to experience the whole weekend of flying displays. These photos in the slideshow are just a few of the photos i have taken at this years airshow and these do not include all the wonderful displays as that would be so many pictures to upload but i absolutely love the photos i got at this years airshow. I especially loved watching the Red Arrows and the Blades and also the tigers as it was absolutely a great show to watch. I loved listening to the commentary on the local airbourne radio and it kept you up to date with what was coming next and also what you were seeing as well as having a chance to listen to the radios on board the displays planes at occasions. It is a truly magical experience and i would definitely recommend visiting an airshow near you as it is a great experience to be in the crowd for. They also had some amazing acts who performed as part of the live events which include Stooshe and also Bucks Fizz with entertainment for everyone no matter how old you are. The live events were packed with people and had a great reception from all who were there. It is a great way to spend time with Family and/or Friends and is a great get together. The Typhoon was such a great display very loud though as it is a very noisy plane. The weather was lovely and hot and had sun but a few cloud but that did not effect the turn out to the airshow and it was busy everyday which is amazing for local area and for local businesses and just great for everyone. It also adds to the amazing atmosphere where the community comes together and celebrates but it also attracts tourists to the area. I always enjoy watching airbourne. There is always a lot of opportunities to take photos and they are great photos.It was such a great weekend and also i loved it because it was just so amazing to watch it and to see all the different displays.
